Odessa Wildlife Rescue houses up to 300 rescued animals on over 500 acres at any one time. They offer walking tours, private feeding tours, and interactive tours complete with pictures. Guests over 21 can even help bottle feed some of the animals!

This wildlife rescue is a bit different than the others on our list in that it is more of a treatment center for injured wildlife rather than a permanent home. The employees at Back to Nature Wildlife Rescue do all they can to provide medical care and rehabilitation to injured or orphaned wildlife so they can prepare them to be released back into the wild when they are ready.
Wild Florida Sanctuary

Situated along the Alafia River in Riverview is the Wild Florida Sanctuary. Schedule an animal encounter and get up close and personal with porcupines, sloths, lemurs and other friendly animals. Or hop in your car and do a drive through safari where you will see several large rescued animals roaming free for a drive through experience unlike any other.
Busch Wildlife Sanctuary

Busch Gardens offers and up close look at rescued native Florida wildlife such as bobcats, panthers, alligators, crocodiles, and more all for no cost (they do request you make a donation to help support their conservation efforts. The sanctuary also has a long board walk through cypress wetlands for a fun self-guided adventure.
Flamingo Gardens

Both a botanical garden and a everglades wetland, Flamingo Gardens is home to, you guessed it, several rescued flamingoes as well as several other species of rescued native Florida wildlife. The conservation efforts of this wildlife rescue have released over 2000 offspring of endangered birds into the wild.
Big Cat Rescue

Unless you have been living under a rock these past few months, you have most likely heard of Carole Baskin of Tiger King fame. We would be remiss to leave her Big Cat Rescue off of this list. Visit for the day and see several large Tigers as well as other rescued cats live in a simulated natural habitat.
