Current Window Covering Trends

Interior design is constantly changing, and when the styles that you’re incorporating in your home include window coverings, you can count on them changing too. Zinga’s Home Solutions stays on top of all changes that happen in the interior design industry, and that includes the different treatments and fashionings that cover your windows. In the last couple of years, we’ve seen so many trends rising to the surface, and all of them are so different that it goes without saying it can be difficult to put the pieces together. Here are a few of the trends that we have seen entering 2017.

Lots of Lighting

Natural lighting is incredible, and it’s one of the things that people look for when they’re purchasing a home. Once you’ve got a home full of natural lighting, you need to find a treatment that makes the most of it. While this is important to let light in, you don’t ever want to have too much light that your furniture gets damaged from overexposure to the sun. The way to get the best of both worlds will be through window treatments that offer coverage to protect the interior of your home and lessen the heightened rays of the sun, while still offering plenty of light. There are a few different stylings that you can accomplish this with, and if it’s something that you’d like to have in your home, let us know and we can bring the various styles that would offer this when we come to your home.

Shorter Lengths

As we just mentioned, more light is a trend that people are loving right now, and it’s one that you have the opportunity to take advantage of in a few different ways. If you’ve invested in some high-quality windows for your home and you love the way that they look, don’t feel like you have to cover them up entirely. One of the other trends that we’re seeing in homes offers halfway coverage of windows and we are absolutely crazy about it. We’ve seen this look in kitchens, bedrooms and sitting rooms, each of them offering a different touch with the same beautiful concept. You can do this with curtains or treatments, so we’ll make sure to bring them both.

Layering

If you’re someone that loves the feel and look of texture in your home, then layering your window treatments is something that you should consider doing, especially if you’re lacking texture in the rest of your interior design. This can be done with blinds, curtains, roman shades and more. You can play around with different variations to find one that you’re in love with. We’re only just getting started on the various styles and designs that you could have installed in your home. Call Zinga’s Home Solutions and let us bring the variety of stylings that we carry to your house so that you can see just how beautiful they look. If you’re interested in hearing the other styles that we can bring, check back in the next couple of days for the follow-up blog post.
