Best Indoor Plants for Your Home

With the holidays over, and all of the bright festive decorations put away, now is the perfect time to spruce up your space with indoor plants. January still brings the short days, and low light of winter so we have compiled a list of the best low light indoor plants to brighten up your living space!

1. Snake Plant

These plants are perfect for first time indoor gardeners. They can survive weeks without water, and thrive in low light conditions.  Snake plants have also been proven by NASA to remove toxins from the air around them.

2. Jade Plant

Jade Plants are easy and simple to care for. The most important thing to remember is to never let a Jade Plants soil dry out completely, however, over watering can cause root rot. Make sure to only water your jade plant when the soil feels dry on top.

3. Fiddle Leaf Fig

Fiddle Leaf Fig trees can grow as tall as 10’ with proper potting and care.  Fiddle Leaf Figs tolerate low light, but thrive in brightly lit rooms with no direct sunlight. The biggest threat to Fiddle Leaf Fig plants is overwatering, which can cause leaves to drop off.

4. ZZ Plant

The ZZ Plant is one of the easiest indoor plants to care for.  It tolerates low light, infrequent watering, and no need to fertilize. Water the ZZ Plant thoroughly and then let the roots dry out before watering again. Watering every three to four weeks is ideal.
